Sparkles Forum Challenge card...

Wow been nearly 10 days since my last post...

Below is a card I have made for a challenge on the Sparkles Forum. Each month there is a different challenge with sponsor too so some fab prizes up for grabs. This month the theme is Sparkle and Bling. Its a fab & friendly place over there, why not sign up and say hi? Its one of my favorite places on the web.....

The fairy (so pretty) is from a decoupage set, think it was Jasmine Beckett Griffiths.  The papers were from my local craft shop.

The flowers and gems were from my stash.
The butterfly is handmade which I brought at a local market.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Sparkles Challenge #11 - Recipe

Good morning everyone. Hope all is well.

We have another challenge over at Sparkles Forum Challenge - this month the theme is a Recipe - Two papers, one ribbon or bow & two embellishments. Of course you can use more but we could like to see the recipe on the card somewhere. I have to say I am LOVING being on the DT. Its so much fun :)

Here is my card

I have used a lot of things from my stash here so not sure where a lot of it has come from! The decoupage I have had for ages but never found anything suitable for her to go on. I love the way she is perched on the flower. I have used a Brad for the middle of the big flower, this is from a fairy pack but thought the colours went well, and have a used  a  little metal flower also.

This month the winner will recieve $10 to spend at  Stitchy Bear Stamps

Friends are like flowers....

Evening everyone :) hope you are all well!

The card below has been created using a digi stamp from the wonderfull Emerald Faerie Garden.

I adore these little creatures, the image I have used is called the Larakins. A proper cheeky pair!

For the background I tried a different method of gluing on some fabric - because of the colours more than anything, but I wont be doing that again - too messy!!!

I distressed the background of the image and the sentiment using promarkers and a sponge. The sentiment is pink, and the image is pink and yellow (the yellow doesnt come up well in the photo).

The sentiment reads:

Friends are like flowers.
They blossom & grow
and brighten the darkest moments

The papers behind the image & flowers are from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

WHO'S BEEN PAINTING MY ROSES RED????

Afternoon everyone. Hope you are all having a wonderfull bank holiday weekend!!

I have been using the excellent images at The Octopode Factory again!! This time using the Queen of Hearts from Alice In Wonderland. She is adorable in a crazy way hehe.

The image I coloured with Pro Markers, using some little sequins for the lining of the cape. and a little bit of glitter on her earings and head. Everything else is from my stash.

The sentiment I distressed with a sponge and my promarkers, along with a black ink pad & says:

Who's been painting my roses red?
WHO'S BEEN PAINTING MY ROSES RED?
Who dares to taint, with vulgar paint, the royal flower bed.
For painting my roses red, someone will lose his head!
