Purple and Lace

Yep, I know I said I was banning myself from using the Gorjuss girls..... but I couldn't help myself..... and I only had one decoupage image left.... I couldn't leave her on her own now could I?? hehehe

Just a quick post for now, Not sure I'm that happy with the card at the moment... seems there is something missing but can't figure out what at the moment. May have a tinker with it later.

The pink paper in the background isn't part of the card - I didn't have time to clear my space so just put a piece of paper down for the background hehe.

The image is from a decoupage pack, the lace I brought from my local Haberdasheries for 50p a meter!! bargain. The ribbon, brad and flowers are from my stash. I have also added a little lilac bow to her hair.

Fairies & Glitter.... 2 of my favourite things

Good evening! Hope you all had a lovely Easter bank holiday weekend.

Below is a make from today.

The glue and glitter is still drying so had to be a bit carefull taking these pics :) The glue will dry clear.
The image is from a decoupage sheet (sorry not sure where I got it from)
The saying I found off of the internet:
The trees are alive!
The river overflows with them
See how they dip and dive
What funny little fellows
What dainty little dears
They dance and leap and prance and peep
And utter fairy cheers

The backing paper is from a set i brough off of ebay, along with the butterfly brad on the ribbon. The ribbon and flowers are from my stash.

I have highlighted certain areas with glitter glue including the flowers in her hand, hair and parts of her wing - along with the edges of the flowers.

Sparkles Forum Challenge #10 Anything Goes

Good morning everyone & a very Happy Easter to everyone.

The weather is lovely here & we are going to a BBQ later - Lovely way to spend a bank holiday Sunday :)

On to my first challenge as part of the DT for Sparkles Forum Challenge. This month the theme is **Anything Goes** -Nice and easy for you all.

The Sponsor this for this challenge is Crafty Emma

The Winner will recieve a £10 voucher to spend instore, not including P&P.

This is my entry - as the theme is  **Anything Goes** I thought I would try something a little different. I have used some gorgeous images from The Octopode Factory - The Wizard of OZ Set. I think these are adorable!!

The background is coloured using Pro Markers, and is about the limit of my artistic skills lol!! The flowers are made using papers from my stash, and the sun is accentuated using seed beads. The sun is also coloured yellow but it doesnt come out that well in the pictures.
The Lion is my absolute fave!! He is such a cutie!!

Thanks for looking and hope everyone has a fab day xxx

Good Evening

Hey everyone. Bit of a late one from me tonight, I haven't been working on much this week, the weather is much too nice & I have also been watching a ton of movies. Has anyone seen the Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus?? Its the most bizarre movie I have ever seen but it was BRILLIANT!! would definately recommend it if you are a fan of things a bit strange like I am :)

I also have some fab news - Angel over at Sparkles Forum Challenge has asked me to become a member of the Design Team. I am very excited for my first challenge as a DT member which will be announced soon!! Thanks Angel for this chance!! Mucho Excited :)

Aaaanyways, down to my card I have made today. Its a thank you card to a friend who has been brilliant the last few weeks.

The image is from Teddybo. These little bears are adorable!!!  The papers and gems are from my stash, and the little handmade butterfly is from my local market stall.

Thanks for stopping by & hope you like :) xxx

You're so beautiful inside & out

This is my last Gorjuss card for a while.... I have banned myself!!

I love this card. The background was generated by my brother on the computer. I wanted to leave the card quite plain  as to get the effect of the background. I think she is quite lonely & sad looking.

The little flowers were made using Angel's tutorial. I have become a bit obsessed with this method & think it looks really effective.

The sentiment says "You're so Beautiful inside and out" but unfortunately it hasn't come out well on the photo's above.

Well, my next project is very bright & colourfull after all these dark cards I have been doing of late :-) I will blog about it soon. Thanks for stopping by xx

You brought me love

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you are all well!!
This is a card I made at about 1am this morning when I couldn't sleep!

The image is the Cheshire Cat from The Octopode Factory. It is part of the Alice in Wonderland range which I just adore!! I have coloured using Promarkers. The papers are from my stash, and the Amber flowers are made out of the foil paper from a Galaxy bar (yum) & made using the tutorial from Angel's blog. The papers and flower on the top left hand side is from my stash.

The sentiment which I think fits perfectly is from the Gorjuss range (not sure if you can tell what it says on the pic but it reads "You Brought Me Love"). The Cheshire Cat is defintely a cutie if you like strange things like I do :-)

I am entering this card to the Ruby's Rainbow challenge which is Amber.

Hope you like & thanks for looking xx

A Christmas Card at this time of year????!!

Afternoon everyone, hope you are all well! the sun has been back out for a little while today but its pretty chilly outside!

Todays make was a Christmas Card..... no I've not gone mad its to enter into the Sparkles Forum Christmas Challenge which this month is Ribbons and Gems. I think its good to make Christmas Cards throughout the year saves rushing and doing them all at the end of the year :)

The Image is a Daisy & Dandelion image from a decoupage set, as is the sentiment. The backing papers, ribbon and gems are Anita's and the glitter is from the range.

The next picture is a close up of the image. My Camera doesnt bring it out great - it is on foil paper so nice and shimmery.

I have also decorated the inside of the card with similar papers to the front and a sentiment from my stash.

Spent an afternoon crafting

Hi all, hope everyone is well & enjoyed the lovely sunshine on the weekend.

I have spent another afternoon crafting. Hope you like.

The first card is an easter card. I popped to my local craft shop today to get some easter stock and they had hardly anything in so I have just used what I could find as I didn't have any Easter in my stash.

Again, apologies for my rubbish photography. The photo's were taken with my phone camera (mental note - really need to invest in a decent camera.... but think of all the stash I could buy instead hehehehe)
The image was a Somebody image.... I think it was meant for a baby card but thought it looked Eastery. the ribbons I bought in an odds and sods pack and the flowers were from my stash. I usually shy away from using peel-off's but that was all they had in the shop!

I have entered this into the following challenges:
sparklesforumchallenges
pollycraftchallengeblog

This is just a close up of the image. I just love the little duck... its so cute!!

The next card I made is using one of the Gorjuss girls again.... I really do love these designs, they are so cute and a bit gothicy.
The background papers used were from my stash & were actually from a Christmas pack, but i thought these went brilliantly. The "To you" topper was also from my stash, I think in a multipack from The Range.

Thanks for looking xxx

New cards from today

Wow its been an age since I posted and to be honest its been a long time since I have done any crafting..... the bug is back in full force though & I have a lot of time to get on it lately so expect more posts :D all good. Below are some cards I made today.... a little bit rusty but not too bad since I havent crafted for over a year or so and I also got rid of a lot of my stash so had to make do with what I have left!! As usual please excuse my rubbish photography, the pictures were taken with my phone camera!! I have just stumbled across the Gorjuss range. I just love these girls!

All thats left is to wait for the glue on the glitter to dry and then it can be tidied up properly.

Thanks for stopping by :) x
