Sparkles Forum Challenge #17 One for the girls

Good morning. hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

This fortnights challenge over at Sparkles Forum Challenge is "One for the Girls".  A nice and easy topic.

For my DT creation I have made a tag.

I wanted to keep it quite simple so's not to take the focus away from the fab Octopode image. This one is Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ,

I cut the shape out of pearlised card and inked it using pigment inks pink, red, lt blue, dk blue & purple.

I added the flower just to add a little something else to the design.

The sponsor this month is Stitchybear offering a $10 gift certifcate.

Thanks for stopping by & I look forward to seeing your creations.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge #8 Vintage & DT call

Morning all

Hope you are all having a fab week. I've had a few days off work so making most of the time... lots of crafting :) hehe

This fortnights challenge over at Rubys Rainbow is Vintage.

This is such a fun theme to work with. Below is my DT item.

This started out as a mint tin with a white sticker on the lid. I covered the lid with Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen paper, put a ribbon around the rim and added beads to the edge to add a litte something more (was a very fiddly job... once I started regretted it slighty lol. I then added some flowers from my stash.

I have filled the tin with beads at this point (it was what I had to hand) but will eventually fill it with some goodies :)

Shaz is also putting a DT call out - looking to take on 4 new DT members.

Look forward to seeing your entries & thanks for stopping by :)

Sparkles Forum Challenge #16 Elegance & Lace

Morning all

The weather is horrible here at the moment... raining  :( hope it clears up this afternoon as I am meant to be going to a fun day :) fingers crossed eh.

This fortnight's challenge over at Sparkles Forum Challenge is Elegant & Lace. I thoroughly enjoyed this theme! My DT work is below:

I decided to do something different than the usual card. This is a cathedral type arch. I decorated the inside using Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen papers, an image by Leanne Ellis coloured with pro markers and added a bit of shimmer, and also added a few gems.

This is the outside... decorated again with Lawrence papers and embroidered brads, with a bit of lace from my stash. (it looks a bit wonky here but its the photo - had trouble getting the pic straight and the doors closed lol)

Here is a close up of the image....

The sponsor this week is Crafty Emma
She has offered up this lovely rubber stamp set for the winner

Thats it from me for now. Thinking *positive sunny thoughts* for this afternoon :)
Thanks for stopping by xxx

My New crafty space :D :D

YIPPEEEEE I finally have my own craft space :)its so nice not to have to mess up the dining room table anymore!

its up on the mezanine level overlooking the living room so its not too far away hehe

Nice and tidy at the moment, got some of my fave things on the desk & a couple more bits to add..

This is the top of the desk with my printer / scanner on. It also have my jack Skellington at his desk joining me with his evil plans. A halloween cushion I got in a swap on a xstitch forum a few years ago, and a calligraphy pen which looks nice kept in its box Smile

This is to the side of the desk, there's a ring binder stocked full of papers / some coloured card / decoupage & images etc. Along with a magazine file with all my plain card / acetate & a couple of magazines. to the front of the folder is a fairy box full of scraps of paper, and a "True Blood" book box holding my paper pads.

Also not forgetting my black cat candle holder with a witch on its back.

This is the underneath of the desk.... it has 2 purposes.... one for storage... and the other to hold up the desk hehehe. saying that it is quite sturdy so works well at the moment.

This is just a better picture of the top of the desk. the pictures are not great as it was starting to get dark but I couldn't wait till tomorrow to show everyone :)

There we go Smile I'm sure you didn't expect something normal from me Very Happy
